All of the professional intuitives that belong to the American Association of Psychics and Mediums have taken an oath to maintain their integrity while providing professional services to their clientele. In order to be a member in good standing, we frequently review our members to ensure that our standards are being upheld.
The criteria for membership is as follows:

- Each member must conduct business in the United States and have a U.S. mailing address and telephone number.
- A business website or web page must always be maintained and updated with current information regarding their services, fees and contact information, including their name. This website must only represent the individual and not the interests of any group or other non-member.
- All pricing and payment information must be easily seen, clearly stated and consistent with services provided.
- A descriptive list of services must be clearly stated and maintained at all times on the member's website to avoid confusion and bait-and-switch schemes, including payment information.
- Anyone who proclaims themself to be a "fortune teller", "gypsy" or other non-professional title will not be allowed membership. These terms are demeaning to ethical, professional intuitives.
- We do not allow members who proclaim to cast spells, light candles or delve in any kind of falsehood relating to this type of behavior.
- Membership will be terminated if we find that any member is violating their integrity oath by conducting their intuitive business in an unscrupulous manner.

Membership with the American Association of Psychics and Mediums requires an annual membership fee of $45 USD. We require a membership fee to ensure that our members are serious about their professionalism and are willing to maintain certain standards of excellence within the intuitive community.

All of our members offer services based on at least one of the following intuitive abilities:

Channeling the conveying of thoughts or energy from an outside source;
Clairalience - the ability to smell something that has no physical source;
Mediumship the ability to communicate between the earthly world and the spirit world;
Clairvoyance the ability to see clearly beyond the range of ordinary perception;
Clairaudience the ability to hear clearly beyond the range of ordinary perception;
Clairgustance - the ability to taste something without physically using your mouth;
Clairsentience the ability to sense clearly beyond the range of ordinary perception;
Claircognizance the ability to know clearly without any obvious means;
Remote Viewing the ability to view a remote location whilst at another;
Past Life Viewing the ability to accurately view a persons past life;
Empathic Abilities to be sensitive to the thoughts, feelings and experiences of others;

Our members will be granted permission to upload the American Association of Psychics and Mediums logo onto their business website. With each year of membership, another star will be added to their membership logo. After five years of membership, a member will attain "Gold Star Status" and will receive special recognition on their logo and on their directory listing. We will e-mail the HTML code for your specific logo upon approval of your membership.

If you would like your business information listed on another state within our directory, you may add each state for an additional $25 fee per state. The first listing in your home state is included with your membership. This service was added at the request of those professionals who practice in more than one state. These multiple state listings are offered to our members who wish to expand their business clientele.
